Inside the frame or tight between two walls - Recess fit
Step 1 – Check the Window Depth
Before measuring, make sure your window recess has enough depth for an inside mount installation.
A minimum clearance of 60 mm between the glass and the front edge of the window frame is recommended to allow the roller blind and brackets to fit comfortably.
Step 2 – Measure the Inside Width
Measure the inside width of the window recess across the top from one side to the other.
Enter this measurement when placing your order. To ensure smooth operation, we will make a small manufacturing adjustment by deducting 4 mm from the supplied width.
Good to know:
The blind fabric will be approximately 30–35 mm narrower than the overall blind width due to the roller mechanism.
Step 3 – Measure the Inside Drop
Measure the inside height of the window recess from the top of the frame straight down to the bottom.
This measurement will be used as the finished blind height, allowing the blind to sit neatly within the window opening when fully lowered.
Step 4 – Choose the Control Side
Select whether you would like the operating chain on the left or right side.
For everyday convenience, we recommend choosing the side that:
- Is easiest to access
- Has no obstructions, such as window handles
- Keeps the chain as discreet as possible
Step 5 – Complete Your Order
Once you've confirmed your measurements and selected your preferred chain position, you're ready to place your order.
Every JORVEN roller blind is custom made to your exact specifications for a clean fit and a premium finish.
Outside the frame - Face fit with architrave
Step 1 – Measure the Width
Measure the full outside width of your window frame at the top. This will be your bracket-to-bracket width, which should be entered when placing your order.
Please note: The blind fabric is typically 30–35 mm narrower than the overall bracket-to-bracket width to allow for the operating mechanism.
Step 2 – Measure the Drop
Measure from the top of the window frame down to your preferred finishing point. Depending on your installation, this may be:
- The bottom of the window frame
- Just above the floor
- Aligned with other window coverings in the room
Record this measurement as your required drop.
Step 3 – Select the Chain Position
Choose whether you would like the control chain on the left or right side of the blind.
For the best user experience, select the side that is:
- Easy to reach
- Free from obstructions such as furniture or window handles
- Less visible from the main viewing area
Step 4 – Place Your Order
Once you have your measurements and chain position, you're ready to order your custom-made roller blinds.
Every blind is manufactured to your exact specifications for a precise fit and a professional finish.
